The Paddlewheel is made up of 608 paddlewood pieces and weighs an astonishing 17.5 tons. Even more, the paddlewheel is the Belle’s only means of propulsion. Parking is near by in the Blue Wharf Parking Lot. The 2023 cruising season is underway, and the Belle of Louisville is offering four family-friendly cruises from March 31 to April 8. As we boarded the boat, we were warmly greeted and led to the table where we would be enjoying lunch.
Once the ship embarked, we almost immediately passed under a bridge. There are many bridges that cross the river and it was fun to go under them and to wave at the people above us.
